PROMISE YOURSELF

. . AIDA

Promise yourself :

  • To be strong, that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
  • To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
  • To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
  • To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
  • To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
  • To be just as enthusiastic about success of others as you are about your own.
  • To forget the mistakes of the past and press on the greater achievements of the future.
  • To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
  • To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have bo time to criticize others.
  • To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy for trouble.

ALGUIEN ME ENSEÑO

A perdonar mis errores, mis culpas, mis caídas.

THE BURNING HUT

The only survivor of a shipwrek was washed out on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and everyday he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up the sky. The worst had happened, everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger "God, how could you do this to me!" , he cried. Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" he asked the weary man of his rescuers "We saw your smoke signal" they replied.
It is easy to get discouraged when things are going badly. But we shouldn't lose hope because God is at work in our lives even in the midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground....... it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.
